St Paul's Big Day Out
On Saturday 12th July 2014, St Paul's church family headed down to Queen Elizabeth Country Park for our big day out together.
It was such a lovely, relaxed day - made very easy with some glorious sunshine. We started with person bingo...so can you guess who was the only one who had been stung by a jelly fish?! Sophie, Pete and Elaine led us in a time of worship - a mix of old favourites and a few newer songs - it was good to have a bit more time to worship together and the children enjoyed the flags, as always! Mark then spoke about radical discipleship while the children (7 months to 9 years) got creative based on the story of Paul's shipwreck (I think the fruit boat was the most popular activity). A picnic lunch was followed by a lovely relaxed afternoon of rounders or walks and cups of tea or ice-creams. We finished off with worship and feedback. I hope we can do something similar soon!
